Based on a comparison of 141 countries in 2017, Yemen ranked the highest in bank loans as a share of GDP with 1,132% followed by Switzerland and Myanmar. On the other end of the scale was Afghanistan with 2.91%, Guinea with 9.37% and Sudan with 11.6%.
