Historically, wheat production in Slovakia reached an all time high of 6,707 kt in 1990 and an all time low of 930 kt in 2003. When compared to Slovakia's main peers, wheat production in Austria amounted to 1,552 kt, 4,378 kt in Czech Republic, 4,314 kt in Hungary and 9,139 kt in Poland in 2015.
