Historically, wheat production in Egypt reached an all time high of 9,460 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 1,272 kt in 1965. When compared to Egypt's main peers, wheat production in Israel amounted to 154 kt, 189 kt in Libya, 855 kt in Saudi Arabia and 294 kt in Sudan in 2015.
