Based on a comparison of 15 countries in 2012, China ranked the highest in production of Volkswagen with 2,061 '000 followed by Germany and Brazil. On the other end of the scale was Indonesia with 1.60 '000, Malaysia with 1.66 '000 and Argentina with 37.6 '000.
