Based on a comparison of 137 countries in 2015, Hong Kong ranked the highest in GDP per unit of energy use in PPP prices per kg of oil equivalent with USD 27.8 followed by Ireland and Sri Lanka. On the other end of the scale was Dem. Republic of the Congo with USD 2.18, Trinidad and Tobago with USD 2.21 and Mozambique with USD 2.57.
