Based on a comparison of 137 countries in 2015, South Sudan ranked the highest in GDP per unit of energy use in PPP prices per kg of oil equivalent with USD 34.5 followed by Hong Kong and Ireland. On the other end of the scale was Dem. Republic of the Congo with USD 1.96, Trinidad and Tobago with USD 2.30 and Zimbabwe with USD 2.62.
