Based on a comparison of 167 countries in 2016, Senegal ranked the highest in female pupils in primary education as a share of total with 52.3% followed by Gambia and Bangladesh. On the other end of the scale was Afghanistan with 39.7%, South Sudan with 40.9% and Angola with 41.1%.
