Based on a comparison of 148 countries in 2019, Senegal ranked the highest in female pupils in primary education as a share of total with 52.5% followed by Gambia and India. On the other end of the scale was Afghanistan with 39.0%, Pakistan with 44.0% and Eritrea with 45.1%.
