Based on a comparison of 156 countries in 2018, Senegal ranked the highest in female pupils in primary education as a share of total with 53.1% followed by Gambia and India. On the other end of the scale was Afghanistan with 39.5%, Chad with 43.4% and Central African Republic with 43.6%.
