Based on a comparison of 50 countries in 2017, Japan ranked the highest in hospital beds per 1,000 people with 13.1 beds followed by South Korea and Germany. On the other end of the scale was Niger with 0.300 beds, Ethiopia with 0.300 beds and Afghanistan with 0.500 beds.
