Based on a comparison of 155 countries in 2018, India ranked the highest in number of pupils in primary education with 123,808 '000 followed by China and Indonesia. On the other end of the scale was Liechtenstein with 1.96 '000, Monaco with 2.02 '000 and Cayman Islands with 4.30 '000.
