Based on a comparison of 78 countries in 2010, Venezuela ranked the highest in intentional homicides per 100,000 inhabitants with 49.0 followed by South Africa and Colombia. On the other end of the scale was Iceland with 0.300, Singapore with 0.500 and Japan with 0.500.
