Based on a comparison of 48 countries in 2014, USA ranked the highest in almond production with 1,545,500 tonnes followed by Spain and Australia. On the other end of the scale was Slovenia with 1.00 tonnes, Nepal with 9.00 tonnes and Ukraine with 10.0 tonnes.

Total almond production reached 3,009,031 tonnes in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 3.03 % more than in the previous year and 46.3 % more than 10 years ago.

Historically, total almond production reached an all time high of 3,013,215 tonnes in 2011 and an all time low of 436,538 tonnes in 1962. The average annual growth amounted to 2.64 % since 1961.

The top ranked country, USA, accounted for 51.4 % of almond production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 63.2 % share while the ten largest countries some 81.0 % in 2014.
