Based on a comparison of 11 countries in 2018, India ranked the highest in areca nut production with 809 kt followed by Bangladesh and Myanmar. On the other end of the scale was Maldives with 0.003 kt, Kenya with 0.113 kt and Malaysia with 0.323 kt.
