Based on a comparison of 46 countries in 2022, Papua New Guinea ranked the highest in game meat production with 436,718 tonnes followed by USA and Nigeria. On the other end of the scale was Senegal with 60.5 tonnes, Uruguay with 441 tonnes and Tunisia with 531 tonnes.

Total game meat production reached 2,032,707 tonnes in 2022 in the World according to Faostat. This is 1.03 % more than in the previous year and 2.80 % more than 10 years ago.
