Based on a comparison of 35 countries in 2016, India ranked the highest in ginger production with 1,109,000 tonnes followed by Nigeria and China. On the other end of the scale was Tanzania with 45.0 tonnes, Madagascar with 54.0 tonnes and Ghana with 95.0 tonnes.
