Based on a comparison of 105 countries in 2014, India ranked the highest in fresh goat milk production with 5,180 kt followed by Bangladesh and Sudan. On the other end of the scale was Costa Rica with 0.022 kt, Slovakia with 0.046 kt and Papua New Guinea with 0.051 kt.
Total fresh goat milk production reached 17,684 kt in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 1.54 % less than in the previous year and 18.8 % more than 10 years ago.
Historically, total fresh goat milk production reached an all time high of 17,957 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 6,426 kt in 1972. The average annual growth amounted to 1.77 % since 1961.
