Which Country Produces the Most Grapefruits?

Based on a comparison of 66 countries in 2022, China ranked the highest in grapefruit production with 5,150,000 tonnes followed by Vietnam and Mexico. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 10.0 tonnes, Cameroon with 129 tonnes and Portugal with 220 tonnes.

Total grapefruit production reached 9,761,755 tonnes in 2022 in the World according to Faostat. This is 0.613 % more than in the previous year and 15.6 % more than 10 years ago.

Historically, total grapefruit production reached an all time high of 9,761,755 tonnes in 2022 and an all time low of 1,910,557 tonnes in 1963. The average annual growth amounted to 2.50 % since 1961.
