Based on a comparison of 91 countries in 2022, China ranked the highest in grape production with 12,600 kt followed by Italy and France. On the other end of the scale was Qatar with 0.005 kt, United Arab Emirates with 0.035 kt and Sweden with 0.140 kt.

Total grape production reached 74,943 kt in 2022 in the World according to Faostat. This is 2.41 % less than in the previous year and 7.97 % more than 10 years ago.

Historically, total grape production reached an all time high of 80,097 kt in 2018 and an all time low of 42,988 kt in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 0.915 % since 1961.
