Based on a comparison of 93 countries in 2015, China ranked the highest in grape production with 10,489 kt followed by Italy and USA. On the other end of the scale was Qatar with 0.009 kt, Kuwait with 0.046 kt and Kenya with 0.049 kt.

Total grape production reached 71,942 kt in 2015 in the World according to Faostat. This is 3.64 % more than in the previous year and 6.31 % more than 10 years ago.

Historically, total grape production reached an all time high of 77,181 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 42,988 kt in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 0.958 % since 1961.

The top ranked country, China, accounted for 14.6 % of grape production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 34.2 % share while the ten largest countries some 70.9 % in 2015.
