Based on a comparison of 20 countries in 2016, India ranked the highest in jute production with 1,900,433 tonnes followed by Bangladesh and China. On the other end of the scale was Pakistan with 14.0 tonnes, Myanmar with 17.0 tonnes and Thailand with 26.0 tonnes.
