Based on a comparison of 170 countries in 2019, China ranked the highest in meat production with 75,745 kt followed by USA and Brazil. On the other end of the scale was Equatorial Guinea with 0.626 kt, Maldives with 0.903 kt and Seychelles with 1.05 kt.

Total meat production reached 336,639 kt in 2019 in the World according to Faostat. This is 1.93 % less than in the previous year and 14.9 % more than 10 years ago.
