Based on a comparison of 29 countries in 2014, Thailand ranked the highest in natural rubber production with 4,546 kt followed by Indonesia and Vietnam. On the other end of the scale was Dominican Republic with 0.065 kt, Brunei with 0.263 kt and Central African Republic with 1.51 kt.
Total natural rubber production reached 11,334 kt in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 5.57 % less than in the previous year and 21.1 % more than 10 years ago.
Historically, total natural rubber production reached an all time high of 11,966 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 2,120 kt in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 3.21 % since 1961.
The top ranked country, Thailand, accounted for 40.1 % of natural rubber production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 76.4 % share while the ten largest countries some 110 % in 2014.
