Based on a comparison of 42 countries in 2018, Indonesia ranked the highest in oil palm fruit production with 115,267 kt followed by Malaysia and Thailand. On the other end of the scale was Suriname with 1.20 kt, Central African Republic with 5.61 kt and Gabon with 21.0 kt.

Total oil palm fruit production reached 272,055 kt in 2018 in the World according to Faostat. This is 0.613 % less than in the previous year and 21.6 % more than 10 years ago.
