Which Country Produces the Most Palm Kernels?

Based on a comparison of 42 countries in 2021, Indonesia ranked the highest in palm kernel production with 10,520 kt followed by Malaysia and Thailand. On the other end of the scale was Suriname with 0.024 kt, Central African Republic with 0.341 kt and Gabon with 0.800 kt.

Total palm kernel production reached 18,172 kt in 2021 in the World according to Faostat. This is 1.43 % more than in the previous year and 26.2 % more than 10 years ago.

Historically, total palm kernel production reached an all time high of 18,435 kt in 2019 and an all time low of 959 kt in 1967. The average annual growth amounted to 4.81 % since 1961.
