Which Country Produces the Most Pumpkins?

Based on a comparison of 100 countries in 2018, China ranked the highest in pumpkin, squash and gourd production with 8,134 kt followed by India and Ukraine. On the other end of the scale was Djibouti with 0.017 kt, Belize with 0.134 kt and Papua New Guinea with 0.152 kt.

Total pumpkin, squash and gourd production reached 27,655 kt in 2018 in the World according to Faostat. This is 1.94 % more than in the previous year and 21.7 % more than 10 years ago.

Historically, total pumpkin, squash and gourd production reached an all time high of 27,655 kt in 2018 and an all time low of 5,585 kt in 1965. The average annual growth amounted to 2.53 % since 1961.
