Based on a comparison of 55 countries in 2018, China ranked the highest in rabbit meat production with 865,477 tonnes followed by Dem. People's Republic of Korea and Egypt. On the other end of the scale was Trinidad and Tobago with 6.00 tonnes, Estonia with 10.0 tonnes and Jordan with 21.0 tonnes.

Total rabbit meat production reached 1,393,899 tonnes in 2018 in the World according to Faostat. This is 0.448 % less than in the previous year and 20.5 % more than 10 years ago.
