Based on a comparison of 71 countries in 2014, Ukraine ranked the highest in sunflower seed production with 10,134 kt followed by Russia and China. On the other end of the scale was Palestine with 0.007 kt, Algeria with 0.080 kt and Namibia with 0.082 kt.
