Based on a comparison of 67 countries in 2014, USA ranked the highest in tallow production with 3,404,500 tonnes followed by Brazil and Australia. On the other end of the scale was Zambia with 24.0 tonnes, Mongolia with 80.0 tonnes and Estonia with 80.0 tonnes.

Total tallow production reached 6,573,729 tonnes in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 3.38 % less than in the previous year and -1.87 % less than 10 years ago.
