Based on a comparison of 115 countries in 2019, Sierra Leone ranked the highest in public spending on education as a share of government expenditure with 33.9% followed by Costa Rica and Guatemala. On the other end of the scale was South Sudan with 0.875%, Monaco with 6.98% and Bahrain with 7.18%.
