Based on a comparison of 172 countries in 2022, Libya ranked the highest in government revenue as a share of GDP with 68.2% followed by Norway and Kuwait. On the other end of the scale was Somalia with 7.02%, Venezuela with 7.89% and Iran with 8.32%.
