Based on a comparison of 12 banks among CEE Savings Banks in 2017, OTP Bank Hungary operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by CEC Bank and Banca Commerciala Romana.

OTP Bank Hungary's loan to deposit ratio reached 51.9% at the end of 2017, down from 53.2% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 99.6% in 2008 and an all time low of 51.9% in 2017.

Comparing OTP Bank Hungary with its closest peers, CEC Bank ended the year 2017 with loans to deposits at 61.1%, Banca Commerciala Romana with 63.8% and DSK Bank some 66.2% of loans to deposits at the end of 2017.
