Based on a comparison of 34 countries in 2015, Iceland ranked the highest in road transport in tonne-km as a share of total inland freight transport with 100% followed by Cyprus and Malta. On the other end of the scale was Latvia with 43.7%, Switzerland with 50.0% and Austria with 52.5%.
