Based on a comparison of 18 countries in 2016, Ireland ranked the highest in upper-medium cars as a share of new cars sold with 31.7% followed by Norway and Finland. On the other end of the scale was Italy with 12.3%, Portugal with 12.5% and France with 13.1%.
