Based on a comparison of 67 countries in 2016, Norway ranked the highest in electric power production per capita with 29,070 kWh followed by Kuwait and Canada. On the other end of the scale was Bangladesh with 421 kWh, Pakistan with 611 kWh and Philippines with 879 kWh.

Average electric power production per capita reached 3,391 kWh in 2016 in the World according to World Bank / EIA. This is 1.6 % more than in the previous year and 15.2 % more than 10 years ago.
