Based on a comparison of 12 banks among CEE Savings Banks in 2017, Sberbank was the largest deposit taker, followed by Erste Group Bank and PKO BP.

Sberbank's customer deposits reached EUR 299,793 mil, up from EUR 250,765 mil, compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of EUR 304,675 mil in 2014 and an all time low of EUR 27,343 mil in 1999.

Comparing Sberbank with its closest peers, Erste Group Bank's deposits amounted to EUR 149,903 mil at the end of 2017, PKO BP operated with EUR 51,237 mil of customer deposits and Erste Savings Banks had clients' deposits of EUR 42,561 mil at the end of 2017.
