Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria EAD is fully consolidated subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI), which is one of the biggest players in the emerging Europe. RBI now operates in 17 different countries, employes about 60,000 people and services approximatelly 14.4 million customers through more than 3,100 branches.

UniCredit Bulbank made a net profit of BGN 361 mil, up 6.22% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of BGN 361 mil in 2016 and an all time low of BGN 68.9 mil in 2001. The average profit in the last five years amounted to BGN 276 mil.

The bank generated its shareholders an average return on equity of 11.1% in the last five years with maximum at 13.5% and minimum at 7.32%.

When compared to the nearest peers, DSK Bank generated a net profit of BGN 303 mil with ROE of 18.9% in 2016, Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria netted BGN 139 mil (ROE of 15.1%) and Eurobank Bulgaria announced a net profit of BGN 120 mil implying ROE of 11.6%.

Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of BGN 858 mil in 2016 and an all time low of BGN 145 mil in 2001. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to BGN 756 mil.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 4.21% of total assets in 2016, up from 4.16% a year earlier.
