On the other hand, average asset yield was 7.40% in 2Q2019, down from 7.62% when compared to the same period last year. Cost of funding amounted to 4.99% in 2Q2019, up from 4.47%.

Sberbank made a net profit of RUB 750 bil, up 38.8% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of RUB 750 bil in 2017 and an all time low of RUB 13.9 bil in 2003. The average profit in the last five years amounted to RUB 434 bil.

The bank generated an average return on equity of 18.1% for its shareholders in the last five years with a maximum of 24.0% and a minimum of 10.2%.
