Historically, arable land per capita in Gabon reached an all time high of 4,144 sqm in 1978 and an all time low of 1,787 sqm in 1961. When compared to Gabon's main peers, arable land per capita in Angola amounted to 2,024 sqm, 2,734 sqm in Cameroon, 1,133 sqm in Congo and 1,623 sqm in Equatorial Guinea in 2014.
