Historically, arable land per capita in Gambia reached an all time high of 3,363 sqm in 1974 and an all time low of 1,597 sqm in 1993. When compared to Gambia's main peers, arable land per capita in Guinea Bissau amounted to 1,729 sqm, 4,332 sqm in Mali, 1,080 sqm in Mauritania and 2,509 sqm in Senegal in 2014.
