Asbestos production reached 179,800 tonnes in 2015 in Kazakhstan, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 15.6% less than in the previous year.
Historically, asbestos production in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 390,000 tonnes in 1992 and an all time low of 134,484 tonnes in 1996.
