Female asylum applicants reached 6,905 persons in 2014 in Switzerland, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 30.8% more than in the previous year.
Historically, female asylum applicants in Switzerland reached an all time high of 8,115 persons in 2012 and an all time low of 4,045 persons in 2009.
