Asylum applicants reached 81,180 persons in 2014 in Sweden, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 49.6% more than in the previous year.
Historically, asylum applicants in Sweden reached an all time high of 84,020 persons in 1992 and an all time low of 5,775 persons in 1996.
