Historically, bank assets as a share of GDP in Armenia reached an all time high of 72.9 % in 2017 and an all time low of 16.7 % in 1998. When compared to Armenia's main peers, bank assets as a share of GDP in Azerbaijan amounted to 37.5 %, 90.9 % in Georgia and 105 % in Turkey in 2017.
