Bank cost to income ratio reached 53.0 % in 2016 in Romania, according to the National Central Bank. This is 9.16 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, bank cost to income ratio in Romania reached an all time high of 76.6 % in 2007 and an all time low of 53.0 % in 2016. When compared to Romania's main peers, bank cost to income ratio in Bulgaria amounted to 43.4 %, 61.9 % in Hungary, 52.9 % in Moldova and 60.9 % in Ukraine in 2016.
