Bank loans as a share of bank deposits reached 45.8 % in 2017 in Albania, according to the National Central Bank. This is 0.098 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, bank loans as a share of bank deposits in Albania reached an all time high of 65.2 % in 2009 and an all time low of 7.21 % in 2000. When compared to Albania's main peers, bank loans as a share of bank deposits in Greece amounted to 147 %, 80.4 % in Kosovo, 87.7 % in Macedonia and 67.4 % in Montenegro in 2017.
