Historically, bank loans as a share of bank deposits in Peru reached an all time high of 117 % in 2016 and an all time low of 43.9 % in 1979. When compared to Peru's main peers, bank loans as a share of bank deposits in Bolivia amounted to 88.5 %, 81.9 % in Brazil and 108 % in Colombia in 2017.
