Bank net profit reached 19,973 EUR mil in 2016 in Germany, according to the National Central Bank. This is 10.2 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, bank net profit in Germany reached an all time high of 23,657 EUR mil in 2011 and an all time low of -26,333 EUR mil in 2008. When compared to Germany's main peers, bank net profit in Austria amounted to 4,430 EUR mil, 6,410 EUR mil in Belgium and 13,914 PLN mil in Poland in 2016.
