Historically, bank pre-tax ROE in Estonia reached an all time high of 34.8 % in 1997 and an all time low of -24.6 % in 2009. When compared to Estonia's main peers, bank pre-tax ROE in Finland amounted to 7.75 %, 9.54 % in Latvia, 16.8 % in Lithuania and 13.0 % in Russia in 2018.
