Banks' risk-weighted assets reached 52.1 BGN bil in 2017 in Bulgaria, according to the National Central Bank. This is 4.09 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, banks' risk-weighted assets in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 55.3 BGN bil in 2013 and an all time low of 0.616 BGN bil in 1996. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, banks' risk-weighted assets in Greece amounted to 182 EUR bil, 201 RON bil in Romania and 2,484 TRY bil in Turkey in 2017.
