Cattle meat production reached 116 kt in 2016 in Romania, according to Faostat. This is 2.25 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, cattle meat production in Romania reached an all time high of 323 kt in 1979 and an all time low of 96.2 kt in 2013. When compared to Romania's main peers, cattle meat production in Bulgaria amounted to 17.5 kt, 28.9 kt in Hungary, 9.51 kt in Moldova and 376 kt in Ukraine in 2016.
