Based on a comparison of 27 countries in 2015, France ranked the highest in consumption of inorganic fertilizers - phosphorus with 206,587 tonnes followed by Spain and Poland. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 31.0 tonnes, Luxembourg with 515 tonnes and Cyprus with 801 tonnes.
