Historically, copper (smelter) production in China reached an all time high of 5,500 kt in 2015 and an all time low of 120 kt in 1970. When compared to China's main peers, copper (smelter) production in India amounted to 793 kt, 1,244 kt in Japan, 661 kt in Russia and 527 kt in USA in 2015.
