Cottonseed oil production reached 13,800 tonnes in 2014 in Nigeria, according to Faostat. This is 4.83 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, cottonseed oil production in Nigeria reached an all time high of 21,400 tonnes in 2005 and an all time low of 180 tonnes in 1970. When compared to Nigeria's main peers, cottonseed oil production in Benin amounted to 8,886 tonnes, 21,400 tonnes in Cameroon, 7,100 tonnes in Chad and 685 tonnes in Niger in 2014.
